Background:
Born in an unknown slum on Qo'noS and left in a dumpster, Marrek was discovered by a clansman of the House of
Gara'Keth and the child was soon taken back to the house and adopted by Klotho, the leader of the House of Gara'Keth.
Despite the power of the House of Gara'Keth in Klingon society and politics as well as the House's historic statute,
Marrek was still faced with resentment and disrespect from Klingons around him. Many considered him to be without honor
of a family or a House. Even with the disrespect that he recieved from others he maintained his career, working as a
security officer and personal aide to his adopted father, Klotho, throughout the entirety of the Dominion War.
Ten years on his father's battleship he learned many of the other positions, using other stations when other
officers were injured or on away missions. Marrek gained the knowledge and the ability to work many of the positions
on the ship. By the time he entered service on the Ty'Gokor, he had worked most of the positions on the bridge and while
he was far from knowing every position in and out, he had a working knowledge of most (if not all) stations.
It was difficult to leave his father's company and service, but Marrek felt that the only way to prove himself,
his honor and his ability was to enter service and make a name for himself.
Personality:
As with many brought up in the environment, he holds honor and loyality above all other traits, in himself and
in those around him.
He is an open person when the situation allows but like all security officers, the situation to be open does
not always present itself. The only part of himself he does not like to show is his past. He
is ashamed of where he came from.
Lieutenant Marrek was killed in action in March of 2381 when a Romulan Scout Ship ambushed
the IKS Ty'Gokor. Marrek took over the Helm Position when the 3rd Shift Helmsman was knocked out of commission.
During the battle, his console exploded multiple times, sending shrapnel through his body and effectively killing him.
Captain Korleth personally sent Marrek on his way to Sto-Vo-Kor to join the Black Fleet.
